Responsibilities

·        Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons aligned with the Singapore MOE secondary syllabus.

·        Assess students’ learning needs and customise lesson plans to maximise learning outcomes.

·        Teach mathematical concepts in areas such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, and probability.

·        Guide students in applying mathematical methods, logical reasoning, and problem-solving strategies.

·        Teach Elementary Mathematics and/or Additional Mathematics according to the tutor’s expertise.

·        Mark assignments, monitor student progress, and provide timely, constructive feedback.

·        Prepare students for school assessments and national examinations.

·        Develop students’ confidence, accuracy, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

·        Create a positive, engaging, and disciplined learning environment.

·        Communicate professionally with parents regarding students’ academic progress.

·        Develop teaching resources, lesson materials, and classroom activities.

·        Uphold ATOP Academy’s teaching standards, values, and commitment to academic excellence.

Requirements

·        GCE A-Level, Diploma, Degree, or equivalent qualification in Education, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.

·        Strong knowledge of secondary-level mathematical concepts and problem-solving methods.

·        Familiarity with the Singapore MOE Secondary Mathematics syllabus and assessment requirements.

·        Ability to teach Elementary Mathematics and/or Additional Mathematics is preferred.

·        Passion for teaching and supporting secondary school students.

·        Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.

·        Responsible, patient, enthusiastic, and committed to student success.

·        Prior teaching or tutoring experience is an advantage but not required.
