Job Summary
The Cost & Contracts Executive manages project costing, tender submissions, procurement support, contract administration, and commercial activities to ensure project profitability through effective cost control, contract compliance, and variation order management.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQs), and project budgets to support accurate financial planning
- Source and evaluate quotations from suppliers, subcontractors, and technology partners to ensure competitive pricing
- Analyze tender requirements, specifications, and commercial risks to develop compliant and competitive proposals
- Prepare and submit tenders, requests for quotations (RFQs), and proposals aligned with project objectives
- Collaborate with sales and presales teams to provide accurate project costing and commercial insights
- Review customer contracts, purchase orders, and subcontract agreements to ensure clarity of contractual obligations
- Manage contract correspondence, claims, extensions of time, and contractual notices to maintain compliance
- Monitor adherence to contractual terms and company policies throughout project execution
- Track project budgets and monitor actual expenditures against approved costs to identify variances
- Recommend corrective actions to address cost variances and improve project profitability
- Prepare project cost reports and profitability analyses to inform management decisions
- Coordinate procurement activities with approved suppliers to meet project requirements
- Evaluate supplier pricing, delivery schedules, and performance to support vendor management
- Support contract negotiations to achieve cost savings and align with project goals
- Maintain supplier databases and commercial records for accurate procurement tracking
Skills
Strong understanding of contracts and commercial terms.
Experience with tendering and procurement processes.
Good negotiation and analytical skills.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
