Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer with 3 to 5 years of hands-on manual testing experience across complex, multi-platform environments. In this role, you will lead end-to-end testing efforts across Windows, Linux, Unix, Embedded, and Cloud-based systems. The ideal candidate excels at critical problem-solving, root cause analysis, test environment management, and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with both development and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Planning & Execution: Analyze product specifications and requirements to design comprehensive test scenarios, identify coverage gaps, and perform manual end-to-end (E2E) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Cross-Platform & Environment Setup: Set up, configure, and maintain test environments across Windows, Linux, Unix, Embedded devices, and Cloud systems.
- Troubleshooting & RCA: Perform deep-dive troubleshooting on complex system defects, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to resolve issues efficiently.
- Review & Collaboration: Lead test plan and scenario reviews with business users, product managers, and development teams to ensure alignment on acceptance criteria.
- Agile & DevSecOps Integration: Participate in DevSecOps workflows and collaborate within Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to maintain software quality and security standard compliance.
- Reporting & Tracking: Log, trace, and manage defects using test management and ticketing tools, delivering detailed test execution reports and quality metrics to stakeholders.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: 3–5 years of professional experience in manual software quality assurance and system testing.
- OS & Platforms: Strong technical proficiency with Windows, Linux, Unix, Embedded systems, and Cloud architecture.
- Methodologies: Solid understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), E2E testing strategies, UAT coordination, and DevSecOps concepts.
- Tools & Frameworks:
Test & Defect Management: JIRA, Xray, or HP Quality Center (HPQC).
Collaboration & CI/CD: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, TeamLab (or similar project management platforms).
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional ability to review system architecture documents, spot requirement gaps, and perform thorough Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for conducting test reviews with non-technical business users and technical development teams.
