Job Description

Responsibilities

This role will be based in Tuas


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day HR operations and ensure HR policies and practices support the company’s operational needs.
  • Handle full-cycle recruitment, including manpower planning, job postings, candidate screening, interviews and onboarding.
  • Partner with department heads to understand workforce requirements and address staffing needs.
  • Manage employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinary issues, performance concerns and workplace conflicts.
  • Coordinate performance appraisal exercises and support managers in managing employee performance.
  • Review, implement and communicate HR policies, procedures and employee handbook updates.
  • Manage employee confirmation, contract renewal, transfer, promotion, resignation and offboarding processes.
  • Monitor attendance, leave and other employee records, and ensure accurate HR documentation.
  • Support employee engagement, retention and workplace culture initiatives.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate relevant learning and development programmes.
  • Ensure compliance with Singapore employment legislation, MOM requirements and relevant workplace regulations.
  • Prepare regular HR reports, manpower statistics and management updates.
  • Support work pass applications, renewals and related administrative matters where required.
  • Participate in HR improvement projects and perform other HR-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of relevant HR generalist experience, including experience ndependently managing HR operations.
  • HR experience in the manufacturing industry (prior and/or current) is mandatory.
  • Good knowledge of Singapore employment laws and HR practices.
  • Experience handling recruitment, employee relations, performance management and HR policies.
  • Comfortable working in an operational and shop-floor environment.
  • Hands-on, practical and able to work independently in a lean organisation.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Able to handle sensitive employee matters professionally and confidentially.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with HR information systems.
  • Experience supervising or guiding junior HR team members would be an advantage.
