Job Description
- Lead the olfactive direction and fragrance development strategy for assigned Personal Care customers and regional category initiatives.
- Manage multiple customer briefs, selecting and developing fragrances that meet commercial, technical and consumer objectives.
- Translate consumer research, market intelligence and category insights into clear creative directions for Perfumers.
- Partner with Perfumers, commercial teams, marketing, consumer research, laboratories and technical specialists throughout the development process.
- Evaluate fragrance performance in applications and support stability testing, troubleshooting and product optimisation.
- Analyse market launches, emerging consumer preferences and olfactive trends to identify new opportunities and creative white spaces.
- Coordinate regional and global projects with international creative centres and contribute to cross-market fragrance initiatives.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Fragrance Developer should have:
- A strong background in fragrance creation and formulation.
- Experience in the FMCG industry or related fields in engineering and manufacturing.
- Solid understanding of olfactory principles and fragrance evaluation techniques.
- Familiarity with safety and regulatory requirements in fragrance development.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
What's on Offer
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
- More than 2 years of experience in fragrance evaluation or fragrance development.
- Strong experience within Personal Care categories such as shower products, bar soap or hair care.
- Well-developed olfactory ability and sound understanding of the fragrance creation and development process.
- Technical knowledge of fragrance performance, stability and base interactions across Personal Care applications.
- Experience managing complex briefs and collaborating with regional or global stakeholders.
- Ability to translate consumer research and market insights into meaningful olfactive direction.
- Strong project management, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Creative, proactive and comfortable working independently while managing several priorities.
