Life Product Scrum Master

12-Month Contract
Salary: Up to SGD 7,000/month
Location: Singapore

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Life Product Scrum Master to join a Product Implementation team and help shape and drive the outcomes of an Agile squad. The successful candidate will have decision-making authority and accountability within the Agile team, ensuring the successful delivery of product enhancements and business initiatives while balancing stakeholder, regulatory and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Delivery Management

• Accountable for the delivery of the end-to-end project lifecycle, ensuring effective control over governance, scope, resources, timeline, budget and risks.
• Break down complex business features into user stories and manage an ordered team backlog.
• Own and maintain well-defined user stories and epics, ensuring clear scope, acceptance criteria, definition of ready, definition of done and size estimations.
• Prioritise backlog items in alignment with business objectives and key outcomes.
• Ensure backlog visibility and clarity across all relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure deliverables meet applicable governance, regulatory, operational risk and non-functional requirements.
• Be accountable for the outcomes delivered by the Agile team, including acceptance of completed work and delivered solutions. 

Stakeholder Management

• Act as the key representative of the Agile team and the solutions delivered.
• Engage and collaborate with business, technology and operational stakeholders to ensure successful delivery outcomes.
• Prepare and deliver project updates, progress reports and key messages to stakeholders and leadership teams.
• Coordinate with internal functions, service providers and external vendors where required.
• Ensure delivery outcomes are aligned with approved budgets and agreed objectives. 

Agile Leadership

• Work closely with delivery leads, engineers, analysts and cross-functional team members to execute the product roadmap.
• Serve as an escalation point for delivery blockers, dependencies and risks impacting project execution.
• Drive issue resolution and mitigation activities to maintain delivery momentum.
• Promote Agile best practices and foster a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Demonstrate strong influencing, communication and decision-making skills to support successful Agile delivery. 

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience managing all stages of the product lifecycle.
• Experience within the Life Insurance industry will be advantageous.
• Strong blend of business and technical knowledge with the ability to drive complex initiatives and projects successfully.
• Proven ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and influence outcomes in a dynamic environment.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively under tight timelines and changing priorities.
• Solid experience working within Agile methodologies and ways of working.
• Proficiency with Agile collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
