Requirements

Minimum Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Banking, or equivalent professional qualification.

At least 5 years of proven experience in accounting or finance functions.

Strong knowledge of full set of accounts and hands-on experience with accounting systems.

Excellent presentation and communication skills in English.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic financial management capabilities, with effective stakeholder management skills.

Demonstrated leadership qualities with strong time management, attention to detail, and organizational skills.

Solid accounting foundation with sound knowledge of internal controls and taxation.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

The Finance Manager is responsible for leading the finance team and managing the financial health of the organization. This role involves overseeing financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting in the education & consulting industry. This role involves overseeing financial planning & analysis, as well as ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing strategic financial strategy to support the company's business.

Job Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, and forecasts.

Develop, monitor, and manage budgets and cash flow to ensure overall financial health and sustainability.

Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.

Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic planning and business decision-making.

Track and control monthly expenditures; review and verify contracts and payments prior to cheque authorization.

Manage a portfolio of investment properties, including rental collection, property sales, tenant management, inspections, and maintenance coordination.

Liaise with bankers on bank account openings, monitor bank loans and financing facilities, and evaluate suitable investment products.

Oversee tax planning, statutory submissions, and external audit processes.

Strengthen internal controls, financial policies, and risk management frameworks.

Lead, mentor, and oversee the performance and development of the finance team.
