We are looking for a Assistant Audio Visual Engineer to join our team!

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of audio visual equipment for meetings, conferences, weddings, and special events.
  • Provide on-site technical support to ensure seamless operation of audio, video, lighting, and presentation systems.
  • Conduct pre-event testing and inspections of AV equipment to ensure functionality and performance standards are met.
  • Assist in maintaining and repairing audio visual systems, equipment, and related infrastructure throughout the hotel.
  • Monitor event operations and respond promptly to technical issues during functions and activities.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and event organizers to understand technical requirements and event specifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, maintenance schedules, and service reports.
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and security of AV equipment and accessories.
  • Support the Audio Visual Engineer in implementing preventive maintenance programs and system upgrades.
  • Adhere to all workplace safety, hotel policies, and operational procedures while delivering high-quality technical support.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma, Higher NITEC, or equivalent qualification in Audio Visual Technology, Electronics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in audio visual operations, preferably in a hotel or events environment.
  • Knowledge of audio, video, lighting, projection, and conferencing systems.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting and maintenance of AV equipment and systems.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service mindset.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays based on operational requirements.
  • Team player with strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive attitude.
