Our Client

We are partnering with a fast-growing semiconductor design company specializing in custom integrated circuit (IC) design, with its chips fabricated in Malaysia. As the company continues to expand its engineering capabilities, they are seeking talented Custom Layout Design Engineers to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on advanced semiconductor technologies and collaborate with experienced engineers on cutting-edge Analog and Mixed-Signal IC designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement custom Analog and Mixed-Signal IC layouts from block-level design through top-level integration.
• Perform floorplanning, device placement, matching, routing, and layout optimization to achieve Power, Performance, and Area (PPA) targets.
• Execute physical verification, including DRC, LVS, DFM, EM/IR, ESD, and Latch-up verification.
• Perform post-layout extraction (PEX) and parasitic analysis to optimize circuit performance.
• Collaborate closely with circuit design engineers to resolve layout-related and post-layout issues.
• Support full-chip integration, verification, and tape-out activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance where required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Microelectronics, or a related discipline.
• 3–12 years of hands-on experience in IC Custom Layout Design.
• Strong expertise in Analog and High-Speed Mixed-Signal Layout.
• Experience with TSMC process technologies, particularly advanced FinFET nodes, is highly preferred.
• Exposure to advanced technology nodes such as 7nm, 5nm, or 3nm is an added advantage.
• Experience in one or more of the following is preferred: High-Speed I/O (HSIO) / SerDes / PLL / VCO / Bandgap Reference
• Good understanding of DRC, LVS, PEX, EM/IR, ESD, Latch-up verification, and physical verification flows.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional engineering environment.
