About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager, Category Purchasing to lead strategic sourcing and category management across Asia. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, supplier management experience, and a background in the semiconductor or manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead category purchasing strategies aligned with global objectives.
• Manage strategic sourcing activities including RFQ/RFP, supplier selection, and contract negotiations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with regional and global suppliers.
• Drive cost savings and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) improvements.
• Monitor supplier performance in cost, quality, and delivery.
• Lead, coach, and develop the purchasing team.
• Manage supply chain risks and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Finance to support business needs and new product introductions (NPI).

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 10–15 years of procurement or strategic sourcing experience.
• At least 5 years of people management experience leading a purchasing/procurement team.
• Experience in the semiconductor or manufacturing industry, with good knowledge of the Asian supplier ecosystem.
• Strong negotiation, supplier management, and contract management skills.
• Analytical mindset with experience driving cost-saving initiatives.
• SAP knowledge is an advantage.
• Good command of English. Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia are an added advantage.

Pay: RM20,000.00 - RM40,000.00 per month
