About the Role

We're looking for a Design Engineer who is passionate about renewable energy and Solar PV engineering. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing grid-connected solar systems, preparing technical drawings and BoQs, conducting site assessments, and supporting project execution for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design grid-connected Solar PV systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
• Conduct site visits and technical assessments to collect structural and electrical information.
• Prepare PV layouts, Single Line Diagrams (SLD), connection diagrams, panel schedules, and other engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
• Prepare Bills of Quantity (BoQ), technical proposals, and tender documentation.
• Support project planning, scheduling, and resource coordination.
• Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Attend technical meetings and presentations with clients and consultants.
• Provide engineering support during installation and commissioning.
• Ensure designs comply with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST), TNB, SEDA, and relevant engineering standards.
• Maintain project documentation in accordance with ISO 9001:2015.
• Keep up to date with the latest Solar PV technologies, regulations, and industry developments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidates with Solar PV design experience will have an added advantage.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with PVsyst, Helioscope, SolarEdge Designer, or similar design software is an advantage.
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Mandarin speaking is an added advantage.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Comfortable conducting site visits and working at heights when required.
• Possess own transport and a valid driving licence.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: RM2,700.00 - RM3,800.00 per month
