Job Description

Responsibilities

Employment Type: Contract Renewable (12 months)
Working Hours: Monday – Friday (Normal hours)
Salary Range: MYR 2900 - MYR3300 + Allowance

As a Project Planner, you will play a key role in managing utility services, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring smooth service delivery. This role requires strong organizational skills, stakeholder communication, and a focus on continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Service Management

  • Monitor and manage performance, availability, and continuity of utility services (power, facilities, connectivity) according to SLAs.
  • Coordinate and resolve service issues, assess impact, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
  • Identify recurring problems, analyse root causes, and implement improvements.
  • Maintain service documentation, procedures, and escalation contacts.

Vendor Management

  • Act as the main contact for third-party providers delivering utility services.
  • Track vendor performance against SLAs and quality standards.
  • Organize regular review meetings with vendors to discuss performance and improvements.
  • Log and follow up on vendor incidents, ensuring corrective actions are taken.
  • Provide operational input for new or renewed vendor agreements.
  • Keep vendor documentation and escalation matrices updated.

Apparatus Assignment (AA)

  • Monitor AA-related KPIs such as service availability and reliability.
  • Prepare performance reports by consolidating data from multiple sources.
  • Analyse trends and risks, recommending actions to improve service stability.
  • Collaborate with teams to refine AA metrics and monitoring requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with governance and reporting standards.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Work closely with operations, engineering, facilities, finance, and procurement teams.
  • Provide clear updates on incidents, planned activities, and service risks.
  • Act as subject matter contact for utility service performance and vendor delivery.
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects to improve service management processes.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve service costs, performance, and reliability.
  • Support the development of service management standards and best practices.
  • Drive automation and digitalisation initiatives for monitoring and reporting.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Telecommunications, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Equivalent experience in service management or vendor management may be considered.

Experience

  • 1–2 years in service management, operations support, telecommunications, IT, or utilities.
  • Hands-on experience with utility services and vendor coordination.
  • Familiarity with service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL) is an advantage.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders is preferred.

Pay: RM2,900.00 - RM3,300.00 per month
