Key Responsibilities
ESD Program Management & Compliance
- Support the ESD Coordinator in managing and maintaining the site's ESD control program in accordance with industry standards, including ANSI/ESD S20.20.
- Monitor ESD compliance within production areas and ensure effective implementation of ESD control measures.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve ESD-related issues in the production environment.
- Perform ESD line audits and inspections to verify compliance with established procedures and requirements.
- Conduct qualification and verification activities for new ESD-related materials, equipment, and consumable items before release into the ESD Protected Area (EPA).
- Assist in ESD assessments, investigations, and corrective actions related to customer feedback, complaints, or audit findings.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance ESD process effectiveness, quality, and preventive controls.
- Support periodic review, revision, and maintenance of ESD procedures, work instructions, and related documentation.
- Provide daily ESD status updates and escalate production-related ESD issues to the ESD Coordinator.
Training & Competency Development
- Provide ESD awareness training and guidance to production employees and ESD representatives.
- Support the development of ESD competency requirements through job and skills analysis.
- Identify ESD-related training needs and ensure required learning programs are completed.
- Promote a strong ESD control culture across the manufacturing site.
- Establish and monitor ESD performance objectives aligned with site and global quality goals.
ESD Measurement & Technical Support
- Perform ESD verification, measurement, and monitoring activities using various testing equipment.
- Operate ESD measurement tools such as:
- Digital Multimeters
- Surface Resistance Testers
- Electrostatic Voltmeters
- Other ESD verification equipment
- Analyze ESD measurement results and recommend improvement actions when deviations are identified.
- Maintain proper records of ESD audits, measurements, qualifications, and improvement activities.
- Ensure ESD test equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical disciplines.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in ESD control, manufacturing quality, process engineering, or semiconductor/electronics manufacturing environments.
- Good understanding of ESD principles, EPA control requirements, and ANSI/ESD S20.20 standards.
- Experience in conducting ESD audits, assessments, and compliance checks.
- Hands-on experience using ESD measurement equipment and troubleshooting ESD-related issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication skills with the ability to train and collaborate with production teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in semiconductor, automotive electronics, or high-volume manufacturing industries.
- Knowledge of ESD control materials, grounding systems, ionizers, ESD flooring, and ESD-safe handling practices.
- Experience supporting customer audits, quality investigations, and continuous improvement projects.
- ESD certification or formal ESD training is an added advantage.
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
