Job Description

• Prepare and analyse cost reports to identify variances and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with production teams to establish accurate costing standards and budgets.
• Monitor inventory transactions and ensure accurate cost allocations.
• Support financial reporting with detailed cost analysis and forecasting.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic cost reviews.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
• Provide insights to management on cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
• Maintain accurate records of cost data and related documentation.
  
  

The Successful Applicant

A Successful Cost Accountant Should Have

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proficiency in cost accounting and financial analysis.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and principles.
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
