Position: Senior Process Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a Process Engineer / Senior Process Engineer to join our Pre-Assembly Engineering team supporting advanced semiconductor packaging technologies. This role is responsible for driving process excellence, yield improvement, defect reduction, qualification activities, and continuous improvement initiatives across wafer-level manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Own process performance, yield, quality, and capability for assigned pre-assembly processes.
- Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for process excursions, customer issues, and yield losses.
- Drive defect reduction initiatives focused on wafer breakage, die chipping/cracking, and wafer singulation-related defects.
- Execute process qualifications, new material evaluations, and process optimization projects.
- Apply statistical methodologies (SPC, DOE, CpK, Minitab) to improve process robustness and productivity.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives in yield, cycle time, cost reduction, automation, and process simplification.
- Support stop-start disposition, MRB activities, and process-related customer escalations.
- Collaborate with Production, Equipment Engineering, Quality, Product Engineering, and Global Technology teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Semiconductor Manufacturing, or related disciplines.
- 2–5 years of experience (Engineer) or 5+ years (Senior Engineer) in semiconductor manufacturing.
- Experience in wafer backgrind, wafer saw, wafer sputtering, wafer inspection, wafer coating, or related semiconductor processes is highly preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Familiarity with SPC, DOE, FMEA, CpK, and statistical data analysis tools.
- Experience leading technical improvement or qualification projects is an advantage.
