The Kallang Group Hiring! Full Time Deputy Head, Safety - Security in - Ricebowl

The Deputy Head of Safety and Security develops and executes the organisation’s overarching safety and security strategy. They oversee daily security operations, manage emergency response protocols, and ensure the company remains compliant with all safety regulations.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement organisation-wide and the venues safety and security policies, procedures, and long-term security goals.
• Risk & Threat Assessment: Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities across all physical locations and operational processes.
• Operational Oversight: Manage security personnel, including hiring, training, and scheduling for internal teams or third-party vendors.
• Crisis Management: Develop the strategy and plans for the organisation's response to emergencies such as security breaches, medical incidents, fire alarms, or disasters. Conduct scenario planning and simulation exercises to validate plans.
• Compliance & Audit: Ensure adherence to industry recognised safety standards like WSH (Workplace Health & Safety), BizSafe and maintain all legal certifications and logs.
• Technology Management: Develop the strategy and future readiness of security technology/ies and surveillance systems (CCTV), access control mechanisms, and alarm systems.
• Stakeholder Management: Serves as TKG liaison with Home Team agencies - law enforcement, fire and other agencies for all major events at The Kallang precinct. Provide reports and advisory to senior management.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years in security management, corporate security, or high-level law enforcement/military service, including major national events.
• Bachelor’s degree in security management or a related field.
• Professional credentials such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), or Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
• Exceptional leadership, crisis decision-making, high adaptability, and strong verbal/written communication for liaising with law enforcement and stakeholders.
