The Role:

Technical Sales Executive plays an important role in connecting customer needs with Carepro Specialty’s technical solutions. This position combines commercial development with technical consultation, supporting customers in selecting suitable specialty ingredients and developing effective formulations.

You will manage existing accounts, identify new business opportunities, conduct product presentations and coordinate formulation trials with our technical team and principals. The role is ideal for someone with a scientific background who enjoys building relationships, solving technical challenges and contributing directly to business growth.

Main Accountabilities:

• Develop and manage customer accounts to achieve assigned sales targets and sustainable business growth.
• Identify new business opportunities across personal care, home care and other assigned market segments.
• Build strong relationships with customers’ purchasing, R&D, technical and management teams.
• Understand customers’ formulation requirements and recommend suitable specialty ingredients and technical solutions.
• Conduct product presentations, technical discussions, formulation demonstrations and customer training.
• Coordinate with the technical laboratory to develop prototypes, conduct product trials and resolve formulation issues.
• Prepare quotations, product proposals, samples and supporting technical documentation.
• Follow up on samples, trials, projects and commercial opportunities until successful conversion.
• Work closely with principals to obtain technical information, regulatory documents and application support.
• Monitor customer demand, market trends, competitor activities and pricing developments.
• Maintain accurate records of customer visits, samples, projects, opportunities and sales activities in the system.
• Prepare sales forecasts, account plans, visit reports and periodic performance updates.
• Coordinate with Customer Service, Supply Chain and Finance to support order fulfilment, inventory planning and payment collection.
• Assist in handling customer complaints and ensure timely coordination with the technical team and principals.
• Participate in exhibitions, seminars, customer workshops and other business-development activities.
• Ensure sales activities comply with company policies, ethical standards and agreed commercial terms.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Applied Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology or a related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; relevant laboratory or formulation experience is an advantage.
• Willing to travel for customer visits, training and industry events.
• Basic knowledge of cosmetic formulation, raw materials and laboratory testing is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office is an advantage.
• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin is an advantage.
• Hands-on, organized, detail-oriented and interested in personal care innovation.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
