As our product lineup continues to grow, we are looking for a driven and highly organized Project Engineer to join our engineering and development team.

Role Overview

As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in bringing our next generation of commercial vehicles to market. You will manage the entire lifecycle of incoming new vehicle development—from initial specifications and regulatory approvals to process planning and mass production readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• New Vehicle Development: Lead end-to-end development projects for incoming new commercial vehicles, starting from initial specification gathering and feasibility analysis.
• Regulatory Compliance (VTA): Manage and execute the Vehicle Type Approval (VTA) application process, ensuring all vehicles meet local Malaysian regulatory standards and requirements.
• Product Testing: Coordinate and oversee comprehensive product testing phases to guarantee vehicle safety, performance, and durability.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive product improvement initiatives by analyzing testing data, field reports, and manufacturing feedback.
• Assembly Planning: Develop and optimize assembly process plans to ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective manufacturing workflows.
• Production Readiness: Oversee mass production preparation, ensuring tooling, documentation, and quality control benchmarks are fully established prior to launch.
• General Engineering Support: Perform other ad-hoc technical, engineering, and project management duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in automotive or commercial vehicle engineering, project management, or manufacturing.
• Familiarity with Malaysian automotive regulatory frameworks and the VTA application process (JPJ, DOE, etc.) is highly advantageous.
• Strong understanding of vehicle assembly processes and production planning.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and technical communication skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with production, quality assurance, and external regulatory bodies.
