Our client is a pioneering life sciences organization dedicated to advancing innovative healthcare solutions through cutting-edge research and development. They are seeking an accomplished Scientific Director to provide strategic scientific leadership, guide a diverse development portfolio, and foster technical excellence across the organization.


Responsibilities

• Provide strategic scientific direction and technical oversight across a portfolio of research and product development programs.
• Evaluate program strategies, study designs, and technical risks to support informed development and investment decisions.
• Lead, mentor, and develop scientific and program leadership teams, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation.
• Drive selected high-impact programs, ensuring effective cross-functional collaboration and execution against key milestones.
• Engage with external experts, advisors, and research partners to strengthen scientific decision-making and innovation.
• Collaborate with development, manufacturing, analytical, and regulatory functions to align technical and operational objectives.
• Represent the organization at scientific meetings, industry events, and external stakeholder engagements.
• Contribute to portfolio planning, capability building, and the identification of future scientific opportunities.
  
  

Requirements

• PhD, MD, or equivalent qualification in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Immunology, or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in biologics, vaccines, pharmaceutical, or advanced therapeutic product development.
• Proven track record in senior scientific leadership and managing multidisciplinary development programs.
• Strong expertise in development strategy, technical risk assessment, and evidence-based decision-making.
• Experience collaborating with external scientific experts, advisory boards, or research networks.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including engagement with senior leadership teams.
• Familiarity with regulated development environments, manufacturing processes, or technology transfer activities is advantageous.
