We partner with schools to deliver practical, engaging, and real-world programmes that help students understand environmental challenges, develop responsible habits, and explore solutions for a more sustainable future.
We are expanding our pool of freelance Associate Trainers for Sustainability and Environmental Education programmes. We welcome passionate individuals who can make sustainability relevant, practical, and inspiring for children and youth.
You do not need to be able to conduct every programme listed. Assignments will be matched according to your expertise, experience, interests, and availability.

Your Role
As an Associate Trainer, you will:
- Conduct engaging sustainability and environmental education programmes in schools
- Facilitate classes for Kindergarten, Primary, or Secondary students
- Explain sustainability concepts in a clear, practical, and age-appropriate manner
- Conduct interactive activities, experiments, discussions, and hands-on projects
- Encourage students to think critically about environmental issues and possible solutions
- Guide students through sustainability challenges, showcases, or action projects where applicable
- Manage both small and large groups confidently
- Follow and adapt prepared lesson plans, materials, and programme frameworks where necessary
- Monitor students’ participation and learning progress
- Provide appropriate feedback to teachers and programme coordinators
- Represent Mastereign professionally when engaging schools, teachers, and students

Requirements
Applicants should:
- Be passionate about sustainability, environmental issues, or climate education
- Be comfortable engaging children and youth across different age groups
- Be able to manage and facilitate both small and large groups
- Be confident, clear, and engaging when communicating
- Be self-driven, reliable, resourceful, and professional
- Be willing to follow programme requirements, safety procedures, and lesson guidelines
- Be available for assignments during school hours on weekdays, generally between 7.00am and 6.00pm
- Have valid authorisation to work in Singapore
Experience conducting school programmes, workshops, training sessions, or youth activities will be an advantage.
Applicants without formal teaching experience may still apply if they demonstrate strong communication and facilitation potential, relevant subject knowledge, and a willingness to learn.
MOE Instructor Registration
Applicants should preferably be registered as instructors with the Ministry of Education.
Applicants who are not yet registered may still apply. We can provide guidance and assistance with the registration process, subject to eligibility and prevailing MOE requirements.
Trainer Engagement Details
- Freelance and project-based assignments
- Flexible scheduling based on programme requirements and trainer availability
- Sessions are conducted in person at schools in Singapore
- Most assignments take place during weekday school hours
- Trainers may specialise in one or more sustainability programme areas
- Assignments are matched based on expertise, experience, location, and availability
