What this job involves
Lead and mentor a team of engineers, technicians, and support staff to deliver exceptional building engineering services
Develop and implement strategic engineering plans that optimize building performance and support client business objectives
Oversee preventive maintenance programs and emergency response protocols for critical building systems including HVAC, electrical, and fire safety
Manage engineering budgets, capital expenditure planning, and cost optimization initiatives across multiple properties
Collaborate with property management teams to ensure seamless integration of engineering operations with overall building management
Drive sustainability initiatives and energy efficiency programs that reduce environmental impact and operational costs
Evaluate and implement new technologies and innovative solutions to enhance building automation and performance monitoring
Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure quality delivery and competitive pricing
Prepare comprehensive reports on engineering performance metrics, system reliability, and improvement recommendations

Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related technical field
Minimum of 7 years of progressive engineering experience with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role
Strong technical knowledge of commercial building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation
Proven experience managing engineering teams and developing technical talent
Demonstrated expertise in budget management, capital planning, and cost control methodologies
Professional engineering license or relevant industry certifications preferred
Excellent leadership and communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with experience in data-driven decision making
