Role Description The Financial Controller is a full-time, on-site role based in Subang Jaya. This position is responsible for overseeing the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards. Day-to-day tasks include managing financial reporting processes, monitoring budgeting and cash flow, and maintaining robust accounting records. The role also involves coordinating audits, implementing internal controls, analyzing financial performance, and providing recommendations to management to support strategic and operational decisions. The Financial Controller will collaborate closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and support sustainable business growth.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Accounting and Finance, with the ability to ensure accurate bookkeeping and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing and reviewing Financial Statements and handling Financial Reporting for management and external stakeholders.
- Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights for decision-making.
- Proficiency with accounting software and financial systems, plus solid Excel skills for modeling and reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) are an advantage.
- Experience in a similar controllership or senior finance role, preferably within knowledge, research, or services-based organizations.
- Strong attention to detail, integrity in handling sensitive financial information, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to present complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
