Job Description

Responsibilities

Aboutthe Role

We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager or Assistant Contract Manager to oversee tendering/quotation and contract administration for construction projects, in particular in MEP services including Air Conditioning & Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV), Electrical and Building Management System (BMS).

This role involves leading a team of in-house Quantity Surveyors in carrying out quantity take-off, participating in tendering and submission of quotations, and contract administration.

Key Responsibilities

·       Supervise and manage a team of in-house Quantity Surveyors in studying tender specifications and drawings, conditions of contract to identify technical and commercial risks

·       Prepare Bill of Quantity (BQ) for tendering and submission of quotations.

·       Liaise with project clients and consultants on tendering and quotation matters

·       Liaise with project team, project clients and consultants on all contract administration matters, including preparation and submission of tender/quotation, handling of VOs, progress claims and payments, as well as any interpretation or disputes over contract provisions.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education & Certifications

  • Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services or a related discipline
  • Training in Quantity Surveying will be an advantage

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of and relevant experience in electrical and/or ACMV systems and equipment, with an understanding of industry standards and codes of practice  
  • Familiar with contract administration, common Conditions of Contract adopted in Singapore, as well as relevant regulatory requirements and standards including Security of Payment Act

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and project teams
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, target-oriented environment
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and adapt to changes
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving
