Job Description

Responsibilities

Job Purpose

The Property Support Officer supports Town Council operations by ensuring estates remain inspection-ready through structured routine and ad-hoc assessments. The officer identifies defects and prepares condition reports across conservancy, landscape, pest control, and estate infrastructure domains. The role focuses on monitoring, verification, and coordination, without duplicating or replacing the statutory functions of Town Council Property Officers.

Key Responsibilities

·       Conduct routine and ad-hoc inspections of conservancy areas, estate roads, landscape areas, and pest control conditions.

·       Verify night-time and early-morning site conditions where required.

·       Identify visible defects, non-compliance, or deterioration during inspections.

·       Utilise digital inspection platforms, mobile reporting tools, and photo-based documentation systems where deployed.

·       Record and document defects using approved formats such as photos, logs, and checklists.

·       Submit accurate and timely defect reports to the Senior Property Support Officer and Town Council representatives where required.

·       Track previously reported defects for closure or follow-up.

·       Work closely with Site Supervisors to verify reported issues, clarify operational constraints, and observe rectification progress without directing manpower.

·       Highlight recurrent cleanliness issues, manpower gaps, high-risk areas, or high-complaint zones.

·       Assist in validating public feedback or complaints where instructed.

·       Maintain inspection and reporting records and support audits when required.

Requirements

·         Minimum NITEC qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.

·       Relevant experience in estate operations, facilities support, conservancy, or site inspection roles.

·       Able to conduct ground inspections independently.

·       Basic report writing and photo documentation skills.

·       Estate-based operational experience preferred.
