Job Summary
Independently manage RC Structural subcontract projects by planning, organizing, and supervising site operations to ensure quality, safety, and schedule compliance while coordinating with contractors, consultants, and subcontractors.
Responsibilities
- Manage one RC Structural subcontract project independently, overseeing daily site operations to meet project goals
- Coordinate reinforcement, formwork, concreting, and related construction activities to ensure smooth workflow
- Ensure all works comply with project schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations
- Collaborate closely with Main Contractor, Consultants, and other subcontractors to resolve issues and align project objectives
- Plan and deploy manpower effectively to optimize daily work activities and site productivity
- Arrange timely material orders and delivery schedules to support uninterrupted construction progress
- Manage workers’ deployment, site access, and work permit compliance to maintain operational efficiency
- Monitor site productivity and control material wastage to improve cost efficiency
- Prepare monthly work progress claims and detailed progress reports for project tracking
- Maintain consistent communication with company office regarding project status, manpower, and site challenges
- Identify site problems promptly and propose practical, effective solutions to minimize delays and risks
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum 3 years of Singapore RC Structural subcontract site management experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Proficient in reading and interpreting Structural, Architectural, Precast, M&E, and Shop Drawings
- Ability to identify drawing discrepancies, clashes, and construction issues, and coordinate resolution with relevant parties
- Skilled in preparing and executing Weekly Work Plans, Monthly Work Plans, and Manpower Planning
- Strong cost control skills including managing manpower utilization, material consumption, and productivity improvements
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PDF, CAD, and WhatsApp for reporting and communication
- Familiarity with Singapore construction regulations, BCA and MOM requirements, and site safety practices
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Strong communication and coordination skills with Main Contractors, Consultants, and subcontractors to facilitate project progress
- Good leadership and manpower management skills to guide and motivate site teams
- Result-oriented mindset with the ability to deliver quality work on schedule
- Responsible, proactive, and able to work effectively under pressure
