Job Requirements:

  • One (1) year contract.
  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Candidates currently pursuing professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent are encouraged to apply.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
  • Experience in operational accounting matters, preferably within the construction industry, will be an added advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, with knowledge of computerised accounting and ERP systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to handle large volumes of data and transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Possess a high level of integrity, responsibility, diligence, and attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Oversee the company's accounting functions, financial reporting, compliance, and cash flow management while supporting ERP implementation and continuous process improvement.

  • Handle the full set of accounts, including taxation, secretarial, banking, financial reporting, and costing matters of the company.
  • Monitor and manage the company's cash flow to ensure efficient fund utilisation.
  • Analyse project performance, budgeted costs, and cost variances.
  • Oversee supplier payments by ensuring timely verification of invoices and accurate processing of payments.
  • Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on outstanding collections, and prepare correspondence relating to debt recovery.
  • Process and review monthly material deductions and customer back charges, ensuring they are properly verified and recorded in the accounting system.
  • Perform and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including reconciliations of suppliers' and customers' statements.
  • Prepare annual audit schedules and coordinate audit-related matters.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, and company secretaries to ensure compliance with audit, taxation, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in stock counts and oversee the preparation of inventory-related reports.
  • Support the implementation of the ERP system, including user testing, data validation, process improvement, and coordination with internal stakeholders and system vendors.
  • Travel locally and overseas as required to support business operations.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by Management from time to time in line with business requirements.
