Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Site Reliability Engineer based in WP. Kuala Lumpur, with flexibility for part-time work from home. The Site Reliability Engineer will design, build, and maintain reliable, scalable infrastructure supporting Tesserac AI’s services and platforms. Daily responsibilities include monitoring system performance, implementing automation for deployment and operations, responding to incidents, and performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence. The role involves collaborating with software development teams to improve application reliability, optimize resource usage, and implement best practices for observability, resiliency, and security. The Site Reliability Engineer will also contribute to documentation, runbooks, and continuous improvement of operational processes.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Site Reliability Engineering, including reliability-focused design, observability, incident response, and performance optimization.
• Candidates should possess troubleshooting skills for complex distributed systems, including log analysis, monitoring, and root cause identification.
• Candidates should possess software development skills, preferably in languages commonly used for infrastructure and tooling (e.g., Python, Go, or similar), and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Candidates should possess system administration skills, including experience with Linux-based environments, configuration management, and security best practices.
• Candidates should possess infrastructure skills, including cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure), containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform).
• Relevant experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar) is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills, ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential.
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
