Job Description

Responsibilities

Role Purpose As an Operations Intern, you are the engine room of ATAG. You will learn the entire lifecycle of event management: from inventory control and pre-event briefing to site reconnaissance and live, on-site tactical execution. This is a highly active, hands-on role where you will see exactly how large-scale corporate events are built from scratch.

Key Responsibilities

  • On-Site Execution & Event Setup (50%)
  • Site Deployment: Travel to event venues (hotels, resorts, outdoor fields) and assist in the physical setup of all event zones, stages, AV equipment, and team-building props (e.g., archery tag bunkers, station games, etc).
  • Tactical Logistics: Assist in the systematic loading and unloading of inventory from the ATAG HQ to company vehicles, and safely transport them to the venue.
  • Live Event Support: Act as a crucial floor coordinator or marshal during live events—managing game timing, equipment resets, and supporting the Master Facilitator to ensure a smooth, high-energy participant flow.
  • Inventory Management & Quality Control (30%)
  • Gear Maintenance: Conduct routine checks, cleaning, and maintenance on all ATAG specialized equipment (archery gear, sports equipment, electronics, and event props) to ensure peak safety and functionality.
  • Pre-Event Packing: Work meticulously with the Operations checklist to pack, count, and verify that 100% of the required materials are loaded before departing for an event.
  • Post-Event Audit: Inventory and reconcile all returned items post-event, reporting any damages or missing equipment immediately to the Operations Manager.
  • Vendor Coordination & Site Recon (20%)
  • Site Recce: Attend venue site visits to map out space constraints, electrical points, and loading bay logistics.
  • Vendor Liaison: Coordinate on the ground with third-party suppliers (AV vendors, stage builders, hotel banquet staff) during the bump-in and bump-out phases to ensure timing alignment.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

  • Physical Stamina: This role requires a high level of physical fitness. You must be comfortable with heavy lifting (frequently moving and carrying boxes, equipment, and event structures weighing up to 20kg).
  • Dynamic Hours: Event schedules are fluid. You must be willing to work early mornings, late nights, or weekends depending on the client’s event timeline (comp-leaves/allowances provided).
  • Environment: You will be working in diverse environments, ranging from air-conditioned hotel ballrooms to hot/rainy outdoor spaces.

Qualifications

  • Education: Currently pursuing or a recent graduate with a Diploma/Degree in Event Management, Sports Science, Logistics, Hospitality, Business, or any field with a strong desire for hands-on operational work.
  • Mindset: A practical, problem-solving "can-do" attitude. You stay calm under pressure, notice the small details, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Mobility: Possession of a valid driving license (Class D) is highly preferred; familiarity with driving larger vehicles (vans/4x4) is a massive advantage.
  • Gender Inclusivity: Due to the rigorous physical demands, heavy lifting, and equipment deployment involved in this role, stamina and physical strength are essential. All individuals who possess the required physical capability and are enthusiastic about hands-on logistics are highly encouraged to apply.
