Job Description

Responsibilities

The Contract Manager is responsible for overseeing contract administration, tendering, procurement, costing, and commercial management for interior design and fit-out projects. The role ensures projects are delivered within budget, on schedule, and in accordance with design specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Commit to and manage the project schedule upon award, overseeing all contract department functions including budgeting, sourcing, finalizing supplier and contractor pricing, executing all required procurement, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining quality control.
  • Develop and advise on effective tender pricing strategies, skills, and methods.
  • Prepare pre-project budgets and comprehensive tender documentation.
  • Monitor and maintain all contractual records with clients and suppliers to ensure compliance and protect company interests.
  • Source, negotiate, and coordinate with suppliers, sub-contractors, manufacturers, and vendors.
  • Train, lead, and manage a team to complete tasks assigned by Management or Board of Directors.
  • Ensure zero errors in all costing and submit tenders within client, consultant, or BO specified deadlines.
  • Must be willing to travel outstation based on project requirements.
  • Undertake any other duties assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Possess a minimum of Diploma qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of working experience as a Quantity Surveyor (QS), preferably in Interior Design (ID), Fit-Out, or Renovation contractor industry.
  • Strong experience in interior fit-out tender pricing, budgeting, procurement, sourcing, and contract administration.
  • Good knowledge of construction contracts, especially interior fit-out works, tender procedures, project costing, and procurement processes.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and commercial evaluation skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight project and tender deadlines.
  • Strong leadership and ability to guide junior QS or contract team members.
  • Good communication and coordination skills with consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and contract-related documentation.
  • Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to work independently.
  • Possess own transport and willing to travel outstation when required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
