• Market Analysis & Strategy Formulation: BDMs analyze market trends, track competitors, and identify untapped regions or sectors to determine where the company should expand.
• Strategic Partnerships: They initiate and negotiate alliances, joint ventures, and distribution agreements to open new revenue streams.
• Lead Generation & Client Acquisition: BDMs generate and nurture high-potential leads through targeted outreach, networking, and industry events.
• Account Management & Retention: They build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders, identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: BDMs bridge the gap between clients and internal teams (like marketing, product development, and engineering) to tailor solutions for specific customer needs.
• Sales Performance & Reporting: They manage commercial terms, oversee contract negotiations, and track performance indicators (KPIs) against revenue targets.
