About the Role
Ascott Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced and proactive Security Supervisor to lead our Security team. Based in Kuala Lumpur City Centre, this full-time role is responsible for overseeing daily security operations, ensuring the safety of guests, employees, and company assets, while maintaining a secure and welcoming environment throughout the property.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supervising and coordinating the daily operations of the Security team during assigned shifts
- Conducting security briefings, inspections, patrols, and surprise checks to ensure high service standards
- Monitoring the safety and security of guests, employees, visitors, and company assets
- Planning security personnel deployment and ensuring adequate coverage across the property
- Investigating security incidents, accidents, thefts, and staff misconduct, and preparing detailed reports
- Coordinating with local authorities and emergency services when required
- Overseeing access control, key management, staff entrance screening, and luggage storage procedures
- Ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations, emergency procedures, and security policies
- Conducting regular safety and security audits, identifying risks, and implementing corrective actions
- Assisting with VIP movements, special events, emergency response, and other operational security requirements
- Training, coaching, and mentoring Security Officers to maintain professionalism and operational readiness
- Preparing daily security reports, duty rosters, and other departmental documentation
What We're Looking For
- Minimum SPM qualification or equivalent (Diploma in Security Management or related field is an advantage)
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within hospitality, security, or a related industry
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Good knowledge of security operations, investigations, emergency response, and safety procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively during emergencies
- Physically fit and willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Proficient in preparing reports and maintaining accurate security records
- A responsible, professional, and service-oriented attitude
Pay: RM2,600.00 - RM2,800.00 per month
