Role Purpose

The Staff Engineer will play a critical role in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer technical support within the semiconductor wafer fabrication industry. This position is designed to ensure operational efficiency, strengthen customer relationships, and support cross‑cultural communication with international partners. Although manager‑level in scope, it remains an individual contributor role with no direct reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Maintenance – Perform daily upkeep, troubleshooting, and system modifications.
• Performance Reporting – Maintain logs and prepare weekly/monthly equipment performance reports.
• Technical Support – Provide customer response, acceptance testing, and improvement initiatives.
• Training Delivery – Conduct operational training for internal teams and customers.
• Customer Engagement – Gather feedback, build rapport, and promote spare parts/repeat equipment sales.
• Cross‑Cultural Communication – Assist principals in bridging communication with China‑based partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or above in Engineering or related field
• Minimum 3 years in the semiconductor industry
• Candidates must have semiconductor wafer fabrication experience.
• Fast learner with proactive attitude.
• Strong technical knowledge and hands‑on experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Mandarin proficiency preferred (for China partner coordination).
