About the role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Logistic Planner to join our dynamic team at UPDATE PAPER SDN BHD. In this full-time position based in Perai, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the efficient management and coordination of our warehouse and logistics operations.

What you'll be doing

• Create and execute logistics plan, procedures and schedules that optimize transportation and distribution operations.
• Work closely with the logistics team, production and warehouses top ensure trucks are loaded on time.
• Ensure outbound trucks are scheduled and arrived at appropriate warehouses/customer locations.
• Report Truck delas/issues to relevant departments.
• Handle urgent and unexpected situations such as the need to reschedule truck, driver or other unforeseen circumstances that may prevent on time delivery.
• Overseeing truck drivers’ performance, loads and receivers to ensure dispatch run as per planned.
• Recruit and coordinate logistics staff (e.g. truck driver) according to availabilities and requirements
• Accurately and timely plan and dispatch loads to ensure maximum efficiency and profitability.
• Coordinate with regular vehicle maintenance to prevent breakdowns, keeping detailed records of all servicing and inspection activities.
• Source and obtain delivery documents once trucks have completed delivery to verify accuracy of the shipment.
• Resolve Logistical issues and problems as they arise in timely manner.
• Continuously evaluate logistics operations to identify areas for improvement, reduce costs and enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all the locals, state and federal regulations related to logistics operation.
• Maintain accurate records of all the logistics activities and prepare reports as needed.
• Monitor daily trucks fuel consumption, defect fuel theft or misuse of fuel cards by matching transactions with vehicle data

• What we're looking for
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics management role
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems and inventory control procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting
• Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations in the warehousing industry
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs
