About the role
Architectural Project Unit Limited is seeking a Senior Architect/ Seinor Assoicate to join our growing team on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced architect to take on a leadership position and drive architectural excellence across our diverse portfolio of projects. Based in Kowloon Bay, Kwun Tong District, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the design direction and strategic vision of our architectural initiatives. The ideal candidate should be available to commence immediately and ready to make an immediate impact within our organisation.
Key responsibilities
Lead and manage architectural projects across all RIBA stages, from concept to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in compliance with statutory requirements
Serve as the primary client interface, managing stakeholder expectations and coordinating with consultants, contractors, and authorities
Develop and oversee high-quality design solutions that integrate aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability
Prepare and review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation in line with HKIA/RIBA standards and local regulations
Administer contracts and monitor construction progress, conducting site inspections to ensure design intent and quality are achieved
Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members, supporting team performance and professional development
Manage project risks, programme, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle
Support business development, including proposal preparation and client presentations
What we're looking for
Registered Architect (HKIA or equivalent, e.g. ARB/RIBA) with valid practicing status
Minimum 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience, with proven project leadership
Strong project management capability, including programme, cost control, and risk management
Demonstrated client management experience with the ability to lead meetings and manage stakeholder relationships
Solid knowledge of Hong Kong building regulations, statutory submission processes (e.g. BD approvals), and contract administration
Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, including consultants and contractors
Proficiency in design and documentation tools (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, SketchUp); familiarity with BIM coordination preferred
Strong design, technical detailing, and problem-solving skills with attention to quality and buildability
Effective communication and leadership skills, with experience mentoring junior staff
Fluent in English and Cantonese; Mandarin is an advantage
Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
