VTech Hiring! Full Time Product Designer in Hong Kong - Ricebowl

Responsibilities:

• Design Mid- High Price-range Electronic Toy Products (for both boys and girls items)
• Perform Product Research; New Product Idea Generation through concept sketches, team discussions and presentations
• Follow up on all phases of product development and help assure product to be within target cost
• Participate product testing on ergonomics and kid test to ensure the products work with our target users
• Create product graphics and prepare relevant product requirement documents
• 2D and 3D computer rendering and conduct materials for packaging and prototype developments
• Working closely with Engineers, Marketing teams, Factory, Vendors, Prototype makers

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related discipline
• 0–2 years of relevant work experience (fresh graduates are welcome to apply)
• Excellent sense of styling, trends, and colour, combined with a strong understanding of Design for Manufacturing
• Strong sketching skills with excellent ability in idea generation and concept development
• Proficiency in 3D modelling and rendering software (Rhino 3D and KeyShot), 2D software (Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator), and Microsoft Office
• Proactive, reliable, and able to work effectively under pressure with a strong willingness to learn
• Genuine interest in toys and/or educational products
• Experience in Consumer Electronics design would be advantageous
• Basic knowledge of packaging design is a plus
• A strong team player with excellent interpersonal and project management skills
