Role Overview

NexusTest is seeking an experienced Application Engineer to support our Southeast Asia team. This role bridges deep technical expertise with customer-facing engagement, helping translate complex requirements into compelling test and validation solutions.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in optical, semiconductor, or wireless

 technologies, and thrive in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

·      Partner closely with Sales to drive technical wins and revenue growth across Southeast Aisa

·      Be a pre-sales technical lead to understanding customer’s testing needs, help them bring up demo elaboration, and facilitate software deployment for testing automations.

·      Engage with customers to understand system level challenges and propose tailored test solutions.

·      Deliver technical presentations, demos, and proof-of concepts to customers and prospects

·      Act as a trusted advisor during the pre-sales and design-in phases

·      Support RFP/RFQ responses, including solution architectures and technical proposals

·      Collaborate with Product Management and R&D to relay customer feedback and

 influence roadmap

·      Develop application notes, whitepapers, and competitive positioning materials

Required Qualifications

·      Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Physics, or related field; 3+ years of experience in application engineering, systems engineering, or technical sales

·      Strong domain expertise in at least one of the following:

Optical systems (e.g., photonics, fiber optics, datacom/telecom)

Semiconductor (IC design, validation, ATE, or test)

Wireless (RF, connectivity, protocol validation, OTA testing)

·      Hands-on experience with lab equipment, automation, and the scripting (Python, MATLAB, etc.)

·      Experience with high-speed interfaces, AI/ML hardware validation, or next-gen wireless standards

·      Proven ability to interface with customers and influence technical decisions

·      Excellent communication and presentation skills

·      Self-driven, with the ability to work independently and across cross-functional teams

·      Travel Up to 25-40%
