Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities


  • Own end-to-end finance operations including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), invoice reconciliation, expense management, payroll oversight, and cash flow monitoring.
  • Manage monthly payroll processing across multiple entities/regions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submissions.
  • Oversee credit card reconciliations, employee reimbursements, and company expense controls while ensuring policy adherence.
  • Maintain and manage supplier/vendor relationships, including onboarding, account verification, payment terms negotiation, and compliance checks.
  • Prepare and post month-end journals, accruals, prepayments, and assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Lead bank reconciliations, cash management activities, and monitor working capital to support financial planning.
  • Prepare accurate monthly management reports including Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, cash flow reports, and variance analysis.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure financial records are accurate, complete, and audit-ready.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis by providing insights and recommendations to management.
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders including auditors, tax consultants, payroll providers, and regulatory bodies when required.
  • Drive process improvements, strengthen financial controls, and identify automation opportunities to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy.
  • Support regional finance operations across multiple countries/entities where applicable.
  • Assist leadership with ad-hoc financial analysis, business reporting, and strategic projects.
  • Support with analysis and monthly management reporting.


About the Person


  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g. CPA, CA, CIMA)
  • Experience with tax and regulatory compliance in Australia, Singapore or Malaysia.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with exposure to regional or multi-entity finance operations preferred.
  • Strong experience in full-cycle accounting including AP/AR, payroll, reconciliations, month-end close, financial reporting, and management accounts.
  • High proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, including financial modelling, reconciliations, data analysis, pivot tables, lookups, and reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting and ERP systems such as Xero, Oracle, NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
  • Experience in public accounting (Big 4 or reputable mid-sized firm) is highly regarded.
  • Experience with Stripe, Recurly or similar is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, internal controls, compliance, and financial best practices.
  • Experience supporting audits, tax submissions, and statutory reporting would be advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to work cross-functionally across regional teams and stakeholders.
  • Proactive, commercially minded, and comfortable taking ownership in a hands-on finance role.
