Mills Recruitment is partnering with a leading data centre engineering and infrastructure company to hire an Environmental Officer / Environmental Engineer to support environmental compliance across major data center projects.

Key Responsibilities

What You Will Do

  • Monitor environmental compliance through site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
  • Oversee environmental controls including waste, dust, noise, water, and pollution management.
  • Investigate environmental incidents and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare environmental reports, audit records, permits, and compliance documentation.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders and support environmental management systems and sustainability initiatives.

Who We Are Looking For

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of environmental experience within data centre projects.
  • Experience in infrastructure, industrial, or data centre projects is an advantage.
  • Familiar with environmental regulations, compliance requirements, and construction environmental controls.
  • Experience conducting site inspections, audits, incident investigations, and compliance assessments independently.

Skills and Attributes

  • Strong understanding of environmental risk management and compliance systems.
  • Excellent report writing, documentation, and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Willing to be site-based and support inspections, including overtime or weekend work during critical project phases.
  • Good command of English. Experience with ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems is beneficial.
