Job Description

Responsibilities

[What the role is]

You will be part of a project team working closely with the appointed consultant and stakeholders on the development of the Integrated Waste Management Facility Phase 2 (IP2) – a large-scale waste management infrastructural project.

[What you will be working on]

Your Main Responsibilities Are As Follows

  • Review and evaluate technical design submissions for electrical equipment, process, instrument, control and automation systems such as electrical switchgears, transformers, generators, protection relay systems, Distributed Control System (DCS), instruments and control equipment, waste handling cranes, steam turbine-generators, flue gas treatments, etc.
  • Work closely with the consultant, relevant agencies and authorities to oversee the construction and commissioning of IWMF Phase 2 project
  • Prepare tender documents, evaluate tender bid proposals
  • Verify progress payments
  • Lead a technical team to ensure safe and efficient operation of facilities when IWMF Phase 2 is in operational stage

[What we are looking for]

  • Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
  • At least of 3 years of relevant experience in waste-to-energy facilities preferred, though candidates with other relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Professional certification (e.g. Professional Engineer, Licenced Electrical Worker) will be advantageous.
  • Responsible, committed, resourceful, and a good team player
  • Good interpersonal communication, presentation and writing skills
  • Able to perform shift work, including weekends and public holidays, if required, when IWMF Phase 2 is in the commissioning and operational stage
