Role Description The Adjuster (BI & Motor Damage) is responsible for handling bodily injury and motor damage insurance claims from initial notification to final settlement. This is a contract, hybrid role based in Setapak, with some flexibility to work from home. Day-to-day activities include conducting site visits and investigations, interviewing involved parties and witnesses, reviewing medical reports and repair estimates, and assessing vehicle damage. The adjuster prepares detailed reports, evaluates liability and quantum, negotiates settlements within authorized limits, and maintains clear communication with insurers, policyholders, and other stakeholders. The role also involves adhering to company procedures, regulatory requirements, and service standards while managing multiple cases and deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and investigative abilities, including claim assessment, fact-finding, and evidence review.
  • Knowledge of motor vehicle damage, repair processes, and basic mechanical or automotive concepts.
  • Ability to interpret medical reports, understand bodily injury claims, and assess related costs and liabilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for report writing, client interaction, and negotiation.
  • Good organizational and time management skills to handle multiple cases and meet reporting timelines.
  • Comfort with fieldwork and office-based tasks, including use of standard office software and digital tools.
  • Relevant experience in insurance loss adjusting, claims, or investigations is an advantage.
  • Diploma or degree in insurance, law, automotive engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with integrity, sound judgment, and attention to detail.
