An exciting opportunity has come up for a Tax Manager with us! This role will be responsible for the strategic and operational tax compliance matters in APBS. You will oversee the full spectrum of tax support and advisory for all functions in the Company, particularly in areas such as direct tax advisory work, tax provision and planning, compliance, transfer pricing and income tax reduction strategy projects. The incumbent needs to have a sound understanding of the current tax treatment to propose and implement various tax strategies to ensure optimal savings.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Oversee all tax matters, including Corporate tax, Indirect Tax, Transfer Pricing and Withholding Tax
  • Ensure all corporate tax returns and withholding taxes are prepared, reviewed and submitted on a timely basis
  • Manage Transfer Pricing documentation requirements
  • Assess and give recommendations on uncertain tax positions for reporting
  • Ensure compliance to Heineken’s tax risk management and transfer pricing policies
  • Manage year-end tax provision and deferred tax calculation
  • Responsible for tax incentive management
  • Review quarterly GST returns and manage GST schemes
  • Manage the resolution of tax audits and controversies
  • Working with business on structure of transactions for tax efficiency
  • Enhance tax work processes and efficiency
  • Manage, monitor and review daily cash positions
  • Forecast monthly cash flow including reporting to group treasury
  • Review processes and practices for compliance with global treasury policies
  • Local point of contact for all operational banking matters


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree/Professional qualification in tax or accountancy
  • At least 8 years of relevant tax experience in public accounting firm (Big four preferred) and/or tax function of an MNC
  • Strong technical knowledge of direct / indirect taxes and transfer pricing regulations
  • An analytical mind with attention to details
  • Ability to perform under tight deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Able to work independently and also a good team player
