Job Title: Food Processing Worker
Job Summary
The Food Processing Worker is responsible for preparing and processing raw food materials in accordance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards. The role involves washing, cutting, drying, and handling food products while ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
Receive and inspect incoming raw materials such as pandan leaves, ginger, garlic, papaya, and other vegetables.
Wash and rinse raw materials thoroughly according to established food safety and hygiene procedures.
Sort and prepare raw materials before processing.
Load washed raw materials into the cutting machine and operate the equipment safely.
Transfer cut materials to the drying machine for the drying process.
Monitor processing equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
Perform basic cleaning and sanitation of machines, equipment, and work areas before and after production.
Follow all food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety regulations.
Report any equipment malfunctions, damaged materials, or quality issues to the supervisor.
Assist with packing, labelling, or other production duties as required.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times.
Job Requirements
No prior experience required; training will be provided. Experience in food manufacturing or food processing is an advantage.
Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods and lift light to moderate loads.
Able to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Willing to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and food safety requirements.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
Reliable, responsible, and attentive to detail.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in a food processing facility.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, hairnets, masks, and safety footwear is required.
May be required to work overtime or on shifts based on production requirements.
