Network Architect (Network L3)

Location: Seremban, Malaysia

Employment Type: 6 Month Contract

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Network Architect (Network L3) to design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure across global environments. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Cisco networking, SD-WAN, Meraki, firewalls, F5 Load Balancer, and enterprise network architecture. The role involves designing high-availability solutions, leading network deployments, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring secure, scalable network operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise LAN, WAN, Wireless, VPN, and Data Center network solutions.
• Configure and manage Cisco network infrastructure, including Nexus switches and Meraki environments.
• Deploy, monitor, and optimize global network infrastructure.
• Plan and execute office and data center network migrations.
• Design and support SD-WAN, BGP, routing, switching, and high-availability architectures.
• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco Firewalls (ASA, FTD, FMC).
• Manage and troubleshoot F5 Load Balancers.
• Configure Site-to-Site VPN tunnels and secure network connectivity.
• Implement Disaster Recovery (DR), failover, and business continuity solutions.
• Work with security teams to maintain compliance and network security standards.
• Prepare High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation.
• Troubleshoot network issues using Wireshark and packet analysis tools.
• Handle P1/P2 incidents, change management, and ServiceNow ticketing.
• Evaluate and implement network automation solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and share technical knowledge.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of enterprise networking experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Cisco Routing & Switching
• Cisco Nexus Switches
• SD-WAN
• BGP
• Cisco Meraki
• Cisco DNA Center (DNAC)
• Cisco IP VPN
• Cisco Firewalls (ASA, FTD, FMC)
• F5 Load Balancer
• Good understanding of:
• DNS
• DHCP
• TCP/IP
• NTP
• RADIUS
• TACACS
• Strong troubleshooting skills using Wireshark.
• Experience designing High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), and Failover solutions.
• Experience managing Enterprise and DMZ network traffic.
• Strong documentation skills (HLD/LLD).
• Experience with ServiceNow Incident and Change Management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Cisco CCNA Certification.
• Cisco CCNP (Routing & Switching / Security).
• AWS or Azure Networking Certification.
• Experience with Network Automation and Scripting.
• ITIL Certification (Preferred).
