Our client is a global enterprise group with a regional hub in Singapore. They are looking to bring on an experienced IT Infrastructure Manager to lead day-to-day infrastructure operations and a small team of support engineers across their regional footprint.
What you'll be doing
- You'll sit within the regional IT function, owning infrastructure across Singapore and neighbouring offices, and acting as the go-to lead for a team of support engineers.
- Own the day-to-day operation and support of core infrastructure - servers, storage, backup, networking, firewalls, VPN, endpoint devices, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory-related services.
- Keep infrastructure documentation, network diagrams, SOPs, and support playbooks up to date and accurate.
- Lead and coach a team of engineers, making sure incidents and requests are closed out within SLA, and keep management informed on progress.
- Plan and run infrastructure projects - hardware refreshes, network upgrades, server migrations, cloud moves, endpoint standardisation, and security uplifts - coordinating timelines, resourcing, and vendors.
- Make sure every project is properly documented, from rollout and rollback planning through to handover and post-launch review.
- Support the rollout of security policies and hardening standards - endpoint protection, access control, patching, monitoring - working closely with the cybersecurity team on audits and fixing vulnerabilities.
- Own backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes, making sure critical systems hit their recovery targets.
- Keep IT asset, licence, and contract records accurate, tracking hardware from purchase through to decommission.
- Work with vendors, managed service providers, and telcos to resolve issues and push infrastructure initiatives forward, while keeping an eye on vendor performance and contract terms.
- Keep pushing for better infrastructure governance, SOPs, and change management practices.
What we're looking for
- 5-8 years of hands-on IT infrastructure experience, ideally across a regional, multi-site, or large
enterprise setup.
- 2-3 years leading or supervising a team, whether as a lead, supervisor, or assistant manager.
- Experience managing infrastructure engineers as well as vendors and managed service providers.
- Solid track record supporting business-critical infrastructure, end-user computing, networks, servers, cloud services, and cybersecurity operations.
- Proven delivery of infrastructure projects such as tech refreshes, system migrations, and operational handovers.
- Comfortable with ITSM processes - incident, request, change, problem, and asset management.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory/DNS/DHCP/Group Policy,
Microsoft 365 and endpoint management, virtualisation (VMware/Hyper-V), backup tools (e.g.
Veeam), networking and firewalls, endpoint security/EDR, and cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
- Exposure to enterprise business applications (SAP, ERP, CRM, WMS) is a plus.
- Some scripting or automation experience (e.g. PowerShell, Power BI) is a bonus.
- Familiarity with audit, compliance, or security frameworks such as ISO 27001 is a bonus.
- Hands-on and proactive, comfortable working independently with strong ownership and problem-solving instincts.
- A clear communicator who can translate technical topics for both technical and non-technical
audiences.
- Open to occasional after-hours or weekend support for critical incidents or project cutovers.
