Mechanical Manager/ Supervisor

We are looking for Mechanical Managers/ Supervisors from the LV/ MV switchboard/ Switch gear Manufacturing Industry. Out client is a leaading LV switchboard manufacturer, based in Selangor and they are looking for a new Mechanical leader to oversee their mechanical/ fabrication works. Key Responsibilities

Mechanical Installation & Supervision

• Lead and supervise the mechanical team in switchboard manufacturing, fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Ensure mechanical works are executed according to engineering drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and timelines.
• Support accurate copper busbar requirement calculations for LV switchboard applications.
• Allocate manpower, materials, and equipment effectively to optimise productivity.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely solutions to minimise delays.
• Coordinate external site installation works when required.

Cross-functional Coordination

• Work closely with Project Engineers, Project Managers, Sales, Designers, Technicians, Operators, and Contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
• Coordinate between mechanical, electrical, and operations teams to resolve technical issues during LV switchboard manufacturing.
• Act as the key point of contact for mechanical-related challenges and improvements.

Safety Compliance

• Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and company SHE requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections and promote safe work practices, including proper PPE usage.
• Support implementation of safety procedures and emergency response plans.
  
  

Skills & Experience

• Minimum SPM/Diploma qualification.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical fabrication, installation, and supervision within LV/MV switchboard manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of LV switchboard mechanical assembly, fabrication processes, and production requirements.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Experience in copper busbar requirement calculation for LV switchboards.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and mechanical design principles is an added advantage.
• Hands-on experience with fabrication equipment such as:
  • Laser cutting machines
  • Laser welding machines
  • Bending machines
  • Grinding machines
  • Turret punching machines
