Assistant Manager, ComplianceRole Description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Manager, Compliance to support the development, implementation, and monitoring of the organization's compliance framework. In this role, you will help ensure that business operations adhere to applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, and industry standards while promoting a strong culture of ethics and corporate governance.

You will collaborate with legal, risk management, internal audit, finance, human resources, information security, and business stakeholders to identify compliance risks, conduct assessments, implement controls, and support regulatory reporting. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into effective compliance practices.

Key responsibilities include monitoring regulatory changes, conducting compliance reviews, supporting policy development, coordinating audits, managing compliance documentation, investigating potential compliance issues, and delivering compliance training. The Assistant Manager, Compliance will also assist in developing compliance programs, tracking corrective actions, and preparing reports for senior management while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Success in this role requires integrity, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of the organization's compliance program.
  • Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards affecting business operations.
  • Conduct compliance reviews, risk assessments, and internal control evaluations.
  • Assist in developing, reviewing, and updating compliance policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate compliance audits, regulatory inspections, and follow-up activities.
  • Investigate compliance issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain compliance records, documentation, and regulatory reporting.
  • Deliver compliance awareness programs and employee training.
  • Collaborate with legal, risk, internal audit, and business teams to resolve compliance matters.
  • Monitor compliance KPIs and prepare reports for management and regulatory authorities.
  • Support third-party due diligence and vendor compliance assessments.
  • Assist with governance, ethics, anti-bribery, anti-corruption, and data privacy initiatives.
  • Promote a strong culture of compliance, ethics, and accountability across the organization.
  • Support continuous improvement of compliance processes and controls.
  • Perform other compliance-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and internal controls.
  • Understanding of compliance frameworks, risk management, and audit processes.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements, ethics programs, and compliance monitoring.
  • Knowledge of anti-money laundering (AML), anti-bribery and corruption (ABC), data privacy, or related compliance areas is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and compliance management systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.
  • Commitment to ethical conduct and continuous professional development.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
