Job Title: Software Tester (Intern)


Job Summary


We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Software Tester Intern to help ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. You'll play a crucial role in planning and executing tests, identifying defects, and collaborating with the development team to resolve issues. This position requires curiosity, logical thinking, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.


Key Responsibilities


1. Test Planning and Design:

  •   Analyze product requirements to create detailed test plans.
  •   Design test cases and scenarios for comprehensive functionality coverage.
  •   Define test objectives, criteria, and resource needs.


2. Test Execution:

  •   Conduct manual and automated testing across web, mobile, and desktop applications.
  •   Perform various testing types, including functional, regression, performance, usability, and security.
  •   Report and track bugs, providing detailed reproduction steps.
  •   Verify bug fixes and check for newly introduced defects.


3. Collaboration:

  •   Work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements.
  •   Participate in daily stand-ups and sprint meetings.
  •   Provide feedback on product quality and suggest design/functionality improvements.


4. Documentation:

  •   Maintain accurate test documentation, including plans, cases, and reports.
  •   Communicate testing outcomes clearly, detailing defect severity and impact.
  •   Contribute to user documentation and training materials.


5. Continuous Improvement:

  •   Stay updated on industry best practices and testing methodologies.
  •   Propose improvements to testing processes and automation frameworks.
  •   Engage in peer reviews and knowledge sharing to enhance team practices.


Qualifications:


  1. Preferred Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or IT (fresh graduates welcome).
  2. Knowledge of software testing and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  3. Familiarity with SQL and database testing, web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), and APIs.
  4. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  5. Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
  6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.


Additional Skills (Preferred):


- Familiarity with manual and automated testing tools.

- Understanding of performance and security testing.

- Knowledge of CI/CD tools, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).

- Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
