Job Summary

Responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing vessels to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation. This is a hands-on role requiring mechanical competence, fault diagnosis, and discipline in preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on boat engines, hulls, and onboard systems to ensure operational reliability
• Diagnose faults in diesel engines, outboard motors, electrical systems, and hydraulic components to identify root causes
• Carry out repairs, overhauls, and part replacements to restore vessel functionality
• Maintain and service propulsion systems, steering systems, pumps, and fuel systems for optimal performance
• Conduct inspection, cleaning, painting, and corrosion control to preserve vessel integrity
• Troubleshoot and repair navigation and electrical equipment to maintain safety and functionality
• Ensure compliance with marine safety standards and regulations to uphold operational safety
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service reports to document work performed and vessel condition
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to procure parts and arrange servicing as needed
