Responsibilities
Assistant Manager, Record to Report (R2R)
Position Summary
The Assistant Manager, Record to Report (R2R) is responsible for supporting the end-to-end financial close and reporting process, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant financial accounting in accordance with accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements. The role covers general ledger accounting, staff cost accounting, fixed assets, lease accounting, financial reporting, statutory reporting, audit support, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Financial Accounting & Month-End Close
o Manage accounting for employee-related costs, including payroll, bonuses, share-based payments, and staff claims while liaising with Human Resources on related matters.
o Prepare month-end journals, accruals, and General Ledger (GL) reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding reconciling items.
o Perform monthly variance analysis and provide meaningful insights into financial performance.
• Fixed Assets & Lease Accounting
o Oversee accounting for fixed assets and lease transactions.
o Maintain accurate supporting schedules and ensure timely completion of asset stock takes and documentation.
• Financial & Regulatory Reporting
o Prepare monthly financial reports and management reports.
o Support statutory, regulatory, tax, and group reporting requirements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and reporting deadlines.
o Prepare financial analyses, commentaries, and predictive reporting to support business decision-making.
• Audit & Compliance
o Coordinate and support internal and external audit activities by preparing schedules and responding to audit queries.
o Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Process Improvement
o Contribute to process enhancement initiatives, documentation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and finance transformation projects.
o Support ad hoc finance initiatives and management reporting as required.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA, ICAEW, or equivalent), or currently pursuing one, is an advantage.
Experience
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Record-to-Report (R2R), General Ledger (GL), Financial Reporting, or Financial Accounting.
• Experience within financial services, insurance, banking, fund management, multinational corporations (MNCs), or shared services environments is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and month-end close processes.
• Experience in financial reporting, statutory reporting, reconciliations, and audit support.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, OneStream, Coupa, or similar platforms is an advantage.
Manager, Record to Report – Group Reporting
Position Summary
The Manager, Record to Report – Group Reporting is responsible for managing the end-to-end group financial reporting process, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant submissions from regional business units in accordance with group reporting standards and accounting requirements. The role oversees financial consolidations, regional reporting, journal adjustments, data integrity, audit support, SOX compliance, reporting system governance, and continuous process improvements while partnering closely with finance teams across multiple countries.
Key Responsibilities
• Group Financial Reporting
o Manage the end-to-end monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual group reporting process.
o Communicate reporting timelines, requirements, and reporting guidelines to regional finance teams.
o Monitor reporting submissions and ensure completeness, accuracy, and timely delivery.
o Review financial submissions to ensure compliance with group reporting policies and accounting standards.
o Analyze financial variances and ensure sufficient business explanations are provided.
• Consolidation & Financial Close
o Prepare and post regional journal adjustments.
o Manage consolidation activities, including:
o Intercompany eliminations
o Currency translation
o Consolidation adjustments
o Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards throughout the consolidation process.
• Financial Reconciliation & Data Integrity
o Perform reconciliations across multiple finance systems to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
o Investigate and resolve reporting discrepancies and data integrity issues.
o Review local statutory financial statements against group reporting submissions and perform reconciliation where required.
• Audit, Compliance & Governance
o Support internal and external audit activities by preparing schedules and responding to audit queries.
o Maintain SOX documentation, internal control matrices, and process documentation.
o Review finance manuals and operating procedures to ensure compliance with group policies and regulatory requirements.
• Systems & Reporting Tools
o Maintain and enhance financial reporting templates.
o Support finance systems, including data mapping between ERP and reporting platforms.
o Review user access requests and maintain appropriate finance system controls.
o Support automation initiatives and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for reporting enhancements.
• Stakeholder Management
o Act as the key liaison between regional finance teams and Group Finance.
o Provide guidance and training on reporting requirements and accounting changes.
o Coordinate with finance teams across multiple countries to resolve reporting issues and improve reporting quality.
• Continuous Improvement
o Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, controls, and data quality.
o Support finance transformation initiatives, automation projects, and ad hoc regional finance projects.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA, ICAEW, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant finance and accounting experience.
• Strong experience in:
o Group Reporting
o Regional Financial Reporting
o Financial Consolidation
o Record-to-Report (R2R)
o Financial Close
• Experience in financial services, insurance, banking, asset management, fund management, multinational corporations (MNCs), or shared services is highly preferred.
• Prior Big 4 audit experience is advantageous.
• Technical Skills
o Strong knowledge of:
o IFRS and financial reporting standards
o Financial consolidation

o Variance analysis
o General Ledger accounting

o Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
