We're Hiring | Merchant Acquisition Specialist

Location: Petaling Jaya, Selangor

Employment Type: 1-Year Contract

Salary: Maximum RM4100

Key Responsibilities

Identify and acquire new retail merchants through cold calling, field visits, referrals, and market research.

Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline from prospecting to contract signing.

Present and pitch business solutions to merchant owners and decision-makers.

Negotiate commercial agreements and successfully close new partnerships.

Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth merchant onboarding and activation.

Conduct market and competitor research to identify new business opportunities.

Achieve weekly and monthly acquisition targets and KPIs.

Maintain accurate pipeline updates and sales reports using CRM tools.

Requirements

️ Minimum 2 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Merchant Acquisition, or a related role.

️ Experience in e-commerce, quick commerce, FMCG, retail, or fintech is highly preferred.

️ Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

️ Proven ability to achieve sales or acquisition targets.

️ Self-motivated with a proactive "hunter" mindset.

️ Comfortable with fieldwork, cold outreach, and frequent travel for merchant meetings.

️ Experience using CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.

️ Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
